Darren Millane skillful, talented, courageous, tough, with a big heart. If ever a player who epitomizes the mystique and tradition of the Collingwood Football Club, it’s Darren Millane. The kid, from the working class suburb of Noble Park , played in his local competition; a kid with natural talent, overlooked by two AFL Clubs, and finally embraced by the Club he loved, “Collingwood”.

Darren Millane progressed to being one of the greatest on-field Collingwood players of all time. Darren’s dedication to Collingwood in the 1990 Premiership win was nothing short of remarkable, where he played for six weeks with a shattered thumb, before taking out the most coveted prize “The Premiership Flag”.

Darren Millane loved football, loved his family, but more especially, he loved helping underprivileged children. On many occasions, Darren would arrange for a bus load of kids to go to the football, at his expense, because the kids simply could not afford to pay the entry fee. Sadly, at the peak of his football career in 1991, at the age of only 26, the football world was stunned to learn of his tragic death in a car accident.

Despite Darren’s tragedy, the memory of this great Collingwood champion lives on, and it is with the well wishes of the Millane family that Darren’s work with children should continue. Through the AFL Past Players Association (AFL X-Men) in conjunction with the Autograph Library and the Millane family, the profits raised from this Darren Millane limited edition print will go towards supporting sustainable community programs for children through sport.

Strictly Limited To Only 742 prints released and individually numbered Each print carry’s a reproduced copy of Darren’s Millane’s signature and is accompanied with a matching numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Modestly priced at $100.00 unframed, and $150.00 framed, plus postage, this is a very unique piece of Australia’s cultural sporting history.
